James Pond: Sex Trafficking Part 3/3
Here, James speaks about the challenges of doing something about child prostitution both here and abroad. “Men are the #1 gender that are needed to be engaged in this issue and be vocal about it.” Community support, political support and funding are key for initiating this healing as well. James also addresses spending in current social programs vs. the need for these more effective shelters and programs for young girls involved in sex trafficking.
James Pond, CEO of Transitions Global, an international relief agency working to combat sex trafficking, spoke at Safe House Chicago’s Open Meeting and Benefit Concert at HighPoint Community Children and Arts Center in Romeoville, Illinois. James is supporting the initiative to create Safe House Chicago, one day to be a safe haven for those to escape the sex trafficking industry.
